I bought the following sockets from screwfix:

not an exact match with the lightwaverf switch, but a bit closer than appears in the pic, where the light has caught them at different angles. Also pretty good value for £4 each.

I also got a cheap but functional exterior light – will be replaced with something nicer at some point:

The biggest wallet shocker was the 6 LED downlighers which I ordered direct from Ecoled. I consoled myself with the following thoughts:

1. having used one of the several online calculators on energy savings from LEDs it seems very likely that my downlighter investment will pay for itself in the next 33 years
2. I have done a tiny bit to help a small British engineering firm
